Sharepoint shared calendar not updating
The good news is that Share Point 2010 and Share Point 2013 include functionality that can be leveraged to achieve this effect, with no code needed. It may not be a completely obvious solution when working with a single Calendar, though.
The one that I prefer because I know it works, is to use an Exchange Calendar, an i OS calendar can be connected to an Exchange Calendar.Once the Column has the desired options, update the existing Events to include the correct Category.(If you have many Events to edit, you may want to add the Category Column to the All Events View, then use Datasheet View to quickly edit each item.) So, while it takes a little effort to color-code events on a Share Point Calendar, the end result can make users very happy.Usually, when you need to roll up content from multiple Share Point sites – it is somewhat of a challenge. There is no web part that allows you to easily roll up documents, tasks or other content.
